Love can not be demanded
As if it is some entitled possession.
It is not something reciprocal
By law or nature.
Love demanded is not love
But a stunted resentful emotion.
Love can not be demanded or asked for
It can be only be given.
If you love someone,
You can give that love.
You have only affection, then
Love can be cultivated, nurtured;
You can choose to give it life
And allow it to grow
Like any living thing.
